Sparking Change with AFK
Sparking Change was the result of a three year participation project led and developed by Action for Kids in partnership with the The Rix Centre Charity. Action for Kids is a North London based charity that helps young people with physical and learning disabilities find greater levels of independence and opportunity through the provision of mobility aids, employability training and family support.
The project was funded by the National Lottery and spent time exploring and developing participation. We looked at developing a participation model of simple small steps, using free or cheap products with a focus on sharing outcomes and learning, and the ability to evidence change.
